THRILLS...ACTION...Somewhere in the Pacific
Old rivals are pitted against each other in basic training and fight for the same woman.

Richard Arlen and Chester Morris play two men who have been rivals at just about everything all their lives. When they start basic training for their military service - alongside "Sandy" (Jimmy Lydon) who has a sister "Peggy" (Amelita Ward) - they have even more to squabble about. Yep, that's the height of the plot... It features some interesting aerial photography and the last few scenes do, finally, inject a little action, but otherwise it's a rather dull, run-of-the mill war time morale booster with some lightly comedic dialogue before a silver-star style of ending. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing special, either.
