Creepshow Collection
The most fun you'll ever have being scared!
This follow-up to the George Romero/Stephen King-launched anthology series features five new tales of horror and a wraparound. The main stories deal with alternative realities ("Alice"), possessed communication devices ("The Radio"), vampires and serial killers in lust ("Call Girl"), mad inventors ("The Professor's Wife"), and hauntings from beyond the grave ("Haunted Dog").

Having watched all the three movies in the Creepshow franchise both as a child and as an adult, I have to say that this is by far the BEST of the three. Don't get me wrong, all three of them have some serious problems, including blatant sexism, misogyny, racism, classism, fatphobia, and ableism. However, this one one succeeds more than the preceding two mostly because it eliminates the self-pretentious over-the-top childish faux-horror antiques that plague them. Also, unlike the preceding two, this one doesn't look like something that was made by some wealthy old White men in Hollywood only for old White men (and little White boys) like themselves who'd find cliché-ridden misogynistic and racist goofs and "jokes" witty and funny. In addition, the stories in this one are a LOT better written and executed than the shallow "stories" in the other two, as is the case with the special effects. Still, as has been implied, this entry suffers from the same blatant misogyny and racism that plague the other two. As such, although I rate it higher than the other two, I can't give it more than a 5 star. In all, I would recommend this entry in the Creepshow franchise much more than the other two and I do believe that sober Creepshow fans - that is, non-racist and non-sexist folks who aren't creepy White men nostalgic for the days they were allowed to enjoy racist and misogynistic content without criticism - ought to seriously reevaluate this entry and elevate it above the other two outright pieces of irredeemable garbage.
