There are glimpses here of what could have been a good vigilante movie with some interesting social commentary about Europe’s inability to deal with crime linked to migration. Instead, the film spends too much time on other things. Uwe Boll doesn’t seem to have any clear message or ideology. He mostly just seems to want to tap into Europeans’ (not entirely unjustified) frustration and anger. The idea of a regular ”citizen vigilante” taking matters into his own hands to save his country (the film never even makes it clear which European country it’s supposed to be) also falls flat when the main character turns out to be an American real estate millionaire who, ironically, seems to be living in the country illegally himself. Vigilante movies usually work best when the main character has a personal reason for doing what they do, like Charles Bronson’s character in the Death Wish movies. Here, the protagonist seems more driven by some sort of savior complex, which makes him hard to relate to or care much about. I wasn’t expecting much from this movie, but I was still disappointed by how it wasted what could have been a really good premise. How much you enjoy this movie will partly depend on your political views. Some people will see it as xenophobic, islamophobic, and glorifying violence and vigilantism. Others will find it refreshingly outspoken. Either way, though, it has some pretty major flaws in both its story and execution.

1/10 stars review ratings. Its a Drop. B‑movie garbage” with amateur acting, cheap effects, and incoherent storytelling. You can always feel the movie is cheap on each minutes that pass. - targeting migrants as villains. - poor editing, acting, and special effects.

As almost all Uwe Boll movies this one is a B movie at best. It has a bad script full of holes, stiff dialogues, amateur actors, weird scenes and bland camera work. Armie Hammer, the protagonist, is one of the very few professional actors here and does a fine job - everyone else they probably picked up from the street. But this movie is not a 1/10. These ratings are from hysterical leftist who can't stand the political message. If it were about killing neonazis, they would give it 5/10 and write "unpolished but important because it shows the dangers we face as a society". I think this movie is a 4/10: way below average. You can watch it as "revenge porn", but its neither a masterpiece, nor absolute trash.

**9 flaws that deduct stars from the movie Citizen Vigilante (2026) to deserve a 10/100 rating**: - 1. Stereotyping the image of immigrants through a screenplay based on misinformation. 2. Collective defamation of Muslims through a screenplay based on malicious rumors. 3. Spreading Islamophobia through a screenplay based on the fabrication of lies. 4. Glorifying the extremist ideology of "taking the law into one's own hands". 5. Promoting the bypassing of state institutions and violating the legal path under the pretext of "the collapse of law and order" through actions that encourage criminal chaos. 6. Creating an imaginary enemy in order to legitimize violence. 7. Normalizing hate crimes against immigrants. 8. Justifying terrorism against immigrants through the employment of the "White Savior Complex" built on the idea of the supremacy of the Aryan race (Anglo-Saxon/White) based on Nazi racism. 9. Demonizing the other party and stripping them of their humanity through "Structural Projection" to distance suspicions from itself.

Huge respect to Uwe Boll, because to make such a movie needs courage. Leftists hate this movie and they don't want you to watch it, because it reflects the harsh reality & the consequences of their disastrous policies they support & push. The emotional breakdown from critics over Citizen Vigilante proves exactly why this movie is a masterpiece of reality. Leftists and progressive reviewers hate this film because it completely shatters their sanitized, politically correct echo chamber and forces them to confront the uncomfortable truths they desperately try to ignore. Instead of feeding the audience mainstream propaganda, Uwe Boll delivers an uncompromising, raw look at the breakdown of law, order, and cultural cohesion in Europe. Armie Hammer’s intense performance perfectly captures the frustration of a no-nonsense, ex-military protagonist pushed to the edge by a broken system that coddles criminals. Leftist critics label this gritty realism as a "psyop" or "hate-manifesto" simply because they are terrified of a film that rejects tongue-in-cheek irony and aligns with traditionalist, right-wing realities. It doesn't rely on slick Hollywood budgets or elite approval; its unvarnished atmosphere reflects real-world headlines that traditional studios are too cowardly to touch. Ultimately, the furious reaction to the movie is the greatest proof of its success—it is an authentic, powerful piece of counterculture art that tells the truth and leaves the establishment completely rattled. For an independent filmmaker like Uwe Boll, getting that kind of furious reaction from the establishment is usually a badge of honor. It proves the movie didn't hold back and managed to completely disrupt their comfortable echo chamber. It's a clear sign the film struck a major nerve by completely rejecting their worldview.

Whilst by no means a great film, "Citizen Vigilante's" message could arguably be said to be overdue. In spite of Western globalist governments'authoritarian refusal to accept there is a problem with their open-door immigration policies and two-tier justice systems, there's also a growing refusal amongst native populations in Europe and elsewhere to accept the claim that their societies are naturally "diverse" and "monoculturalism" a lie. This film, which I glanced at, to be honest, is something of an action potboiler with plot holes aplenty. That said, it does still raise wholly valid points about disproportionate imported crime and the failure of justice systems to hold the perpetrators to account. I'm not surprised to hear it's been banned in Germany. I'll wager it will probably be banned elsewhere too. The UK is, I'm sure, a strong contender there, as is Australia. It does make me thankful I live in a country where this sort of crime is mostly but not entirely unheard of. Its also a warning of what can happen if we elect the wrong people to political office. In summary, whilst it's hardly a standout action flick "Citizen Vigilante" does possess a certain courage in making a no nonsense film that faces legitimate concerns with imported crime and cultural division head on.
