When the game is over, the fun begins.
Wreck-It Ralph is the 9-foot-tall, 643-pound villain of an arcade video game named Fix-It Felix Jr., in which the game's titular hero fixes buildings that Ralph destroys. Wanting to prove he can be a good guy and not just a villain, Ralph escapes his game and lands in Hero's Duty, a first-person shooter where he helps the game's hero battle against alien invaders. He later enters Sugar Rush, a kart racing game set on tracks made of candies, cookies and other sweets. There, Ralph meets Vanellope von Schweetz who has learned that her game is faced with a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph may have inadvertently started.

Alright, buckle up, because I just saw a movie that completely blew my mind! Seriously, I'm still buzzing! I went in with pretty high hopes, and somehow, it exceeded them. First off, the visuals? Forget what you think you know about animation. This movie is a whole new level. It's like they took every amazing art style you've ever loved and mashed them together in the most perfect way possible. Every single frame is a work of art, and I found myself just staring in awe at the sheer creativity. It's not just pretty, either; it really helps tell the story and makes you feel like you're right there with the characters. Speaking of characters, they are so well-developed! Each one felt real, like they had their own lives and stories outside of what we saw on screen. I connected with them instantly, and I was rooting for them from beginning to end. They're funny, they're brave, and they have so much heart. And the voice acting? Absolutely top-notch. Every emotion came through perfectly, making the characters even more believable. Now, the story itself? Wow. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with twists and turns I didn't see coming. It's got everything: humor, action, drama, and moments that will absolutely tug at your heartstrings. It's a story that stays with you long after the credits roll, making you think about things in a new way. It's not just a kids' movie; it's a movie for everyone, no matter how old you are. It deals with important themes in a way that's both engaging and thought-provoking. The music! Oh my goodness, the music! The soundtrack is incredible, perfectly complementing every scene and amplifying the emotions. I'm already planning on downloading it so I can listen to it on repeat. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this movie. It's a complete masterpiece, a perfect 10/10. It's the kind of movie that reminds you why you love animation in the first place. If you get the chance to see it, do it! You won't regret it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll leave the theater feeling inspired. This movie has set a new standard for animated films, and I can't wait to see what the creators do next! Go see it!

The adventures of an arcade game villain who is fed up watching everyone else get rewards and medals whilst he is always portrayed as the baddie. "Ralph" decides that the time has come to abscond and try and emulate his pal "Fix-it-Felix" in the feel good, popularity, stakes. His first encounter is with the no-nonsense "Sgt. Calhoun" in a shoot-em-up but instead of thriving, he manages to destroy just about everything there and soon threaten the entire arcade. How to stop this catastrophe? Well that might be down to his new, enthusiastic pal "Vanellope". She's what is called a "glitch" from a neighbouring racer game - where everything looks like it's straight out of "Wonkaland" - and the two must work together and race to thwart the increasingly evil ambitions of "King Candy". It's OK, this film. perhaps gamers will get more from it, but I'm not a gamer so was rather unimpressed with the rather predictable messages of undervalued person seeking validation and affection in a cruel, uncaring, world. Some of the animation is great fun, it features a bit of Pac-man nostalgia and there is plenty of lively action packed into one hundred minutes of characterful storytelling - it's just that the story, for me anyway, was just thin and procedural and there is way too much dialogue. Sorry.

Thoroughly enjoyable. <em>'Wreck-It Ralph'</em> is very good. At the beginning it feels as if it might just be a video game rehash of <em>'Toy Story'</em>. However, pleasingly, it does its own thing as it gives a positive message and has more than satisfactory humour. I'm never been a proper gamer, at least not in the sphere of games used here, but I still got a load of the little references. I also like how the world is built, it's silly sure but it's still pretty neat how they tie it all together. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman are excellent in their roles as Ralph and Vanellope. It's very easy to care for those two characters, with both having meaningful stories. Jane Lynch (Calhoun), Jack McBrayer (Felix) and Alan Tudyk (Candy) add to the film with their characters - it's clear to see the ode (copy?) to Ed Wynn and his Mad Hatter for Tudyk's role. The animation is nice, while the music - though not memorable at all - is rather catchy and suits the Sugar Rush surroundings in particular. Give it a watch.

Surely the thematic is great and it is funny to see old pals from several video games but Wreck-it Ralph lacks the hook of most of Disney movies.

Wreck-It Ralph is a great movie with my love for games in there with it. The movie had some great childhood memories of mine, with all the characters from the best games. The graphics are excellent and the voice acting couldn't be better. This movie is great for adults and kids.
